Since 1963, Strescon has been developing and producing precast concrete products that solve specific design problems and meet the individual needs of our clients. Over the past 40+ years, we have grown to become the largest precast concrete pipe manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Our primary market covers Eastern Canada and the US States of Maine and New Hampshire.

OSCO Concrete
Following a significant expansion in 2009, the OSCO Construction Group rebranded its ready-mixed concrete operations as OSCO Concrete. Currently one of the largest ready-mix players in the Atlantic Region, OSCO Concrete also operates the largest pump fleet, in both number and size, in Atlantic Canada.
OSCO Aggregates
The OSCO Construction Group entered the Aggregates market in 2009, with the acquisition of M.S.D. Enterprises in Glenhome, NS. Rebranded as OSCO Aggregates, it is one of the major producers of aggregate in Nova Scotia.
OSCO Aggregates currently operates locations in both Debert and Canaan Mountain, Nova Scotia.
Ocean Steel Rebar
The OSCO Construction Group’s Rebar Division is dedicated to producing a fabricated reinforcing steel product that meets or exceeds the requirements specified in the contract documents, designs and specifications.
We have over 50 years experience in fabricating and supplying reinforcing steel for all types of construction projects – from large scale industrial to smaller retail. The Division was expanded in 2009 with the acquisition of AllStar Rebar’s Nova Scotia plant – one of the largest rebar processing plants in the province.
Our rebar is detailed using the latest CAD technology offered by Bentley Microstation/ASA to CSA, CRSI and ASTM specifications.
The annual combined capacity at our Saint John and Bedford plants is currently 18,000+ tons. Estimating, detailing, shop scheduling, tagging and shipping is performed using a computerized production management system. Rebar is installed using in-house or subcontracted crews depending on the project requirements.
Ocean Steel & Construction
Ocean Steel fabricates and erects structural steel for all industrial, commercial educational, institutional and residential construction sectors. Projects up to 18,000 tons in size have been successfully completed.
Highway and railway bridges are fabricated in our plant and erected on land or over water. Plate girder, box girder, and truss bridges for single or multiple spans have been completed to rigid standards used by various highway and railway administrations.
